From reading this book I would think he's a good dad. Now why would I say that concerning a CAD book? Imagine a very patient parent sitting down and working with you on your homework and knowing, what areas to build on to get a good understanding to proceed into something more complex. Well, there you go. If you're autodeks for a basic book that touches on almost every relevant section of the software while patiently taking you through the steps, this is it.
It will get you up and going as a personal user but for the professional I would say this is too basic. It doesn't touch on the finer, more intricate points of each section of the software. It touches on content center, frame generator and even iLogic but it's more of an exposure to the capabilities rather than an in depth analysis.
I imagine that was the intention behind the way it was written because it certainly comes across as such. So, even if you're not interested inlook for this author in autodssk books he's written; he knows how to teach.
He's also on YouTube and if you look him up, watch autodesk inventor 2012 and inventor lt 2012 essentials free way he explains and teaches, then you'll know how the book is going to go.
